Alexander Wright, Ph.D.

Alex holds a PhD in Mechanical Engineering from Dalhousie University in Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada.

His thesis, titled Design and Aerodynamic Analysis of a Novel Medium Bypass Turbofan Engine Exhaust System, was a labour of perseverance and dedication.

He has been working in the start-up scene since finishing his Ph.D.; designing turbine engines from scratch and, more ambitiously, setting up a space port in northern Australia.

Over that time, he’s developed a set of skills that can help a lot of companies solve their problems.

Wright Aerospace was created to share these skills via independent consulting services:

  • Designing and implementing High Performance Computing environments.
  • Developing, Running and Analysing computational models
    • Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD)
    • Conjugate Heat Transfer (CHT)
    • Combustion
    • Aero Thermo Mechanical Loading
  • Developing equipment and facilities for test bench and data acquisition systems.
  • Automating time consuming tasks that free up personnel for more valuable work.
  • Identifying and mitigating process bottlenecks.
  • Tailoring systems to suit a variety of needs.
  • Translating technical documents and concepts for wider communication.
  • Systems Engineering
